Meet the Founder
Tia-Taomi
FounderLong before interiors, I was fascinated by people.
I studied counselling, psychology and the mind, with a particular interest in emotion, connection and wellbeing. I’ve always been drawn to creating spaces where people can slow down, feel safe and simply be.
That naturally became the foundation of my approach to design.
I believe the home is more than a place we live. It is where we are shaped, where memories are formed, where we return after a long day and where we should be able to exhale from the noise of the world.
My journey into interiors began unexpectedly. After a significant chapter of my life came to an end, I found myself redesigning my home to feel more like me. In changing the space around me, I discovered how deeply our surroundings can influence how we feel and a love for interiors was born.
Creativity had always been part of my life. Growing up, I watched my mother transform our home through DIY and creativity, and I spent countless trips to IKEA imagining what I could create next.
Today, my work brings those worlds together: people and space.
Selah Haus was created to design interiors that go beyond aesthetics — spaces that feel considered, grounding and personal. My faith is deeply woven into that vision, and I believe there is something sacred about the places we call home.
Because ultimately, good design isn't only about what you see.
It’s about how you feel when you’re there.
