By submitting an enquiry, purchasing a service or product, or accessing our website or digital content, you agree to these Terms where they apply to your interaction with us.

Please read these Terms carefully before proceeding.

The exact services included in your project will be confirmed in your individual proposal, quotation or project agreement.

3. Enquiries

Submitting an enquiry through our website does not create a contract or guarantee that Selah Haus Studios will accept or undertake your project.

Following an enquiry, we may contact you to discuss your requirements, availability, scope and proposed investment.

A project will only be considered confirmed once you have received and accepted the relevant proposal or agreement and any required initial payment has been received.

4. Quotes and Proposals

Any quotation or proposal provided by Selah Haus Studios will be based on the information available to us at the time.

Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for [14/30] days.

The scope of work, deliverables, fees, timescales, revision allowance and payment arrangements will be set out in the relevant proposal or project agreement.

Additional work requested outside the agreed scope may incur additional fees. We will communicate any significant additional costs with you before proceeding.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees are communicated to you before you agree to proceed with a project.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • An initial payment or deposit may be required to secure your project and project date.

  • Work will not begin until the required initial payment has been received.

  • Remaining payments must be made according to the payment schedule agreed with you.

  • Payments must be made by the due date stated on your invoice or agreement.

  • Late or missed payments may affect project timelines and the commencement or continuation of work.

Where VAT applies, this will be stated separately.

Payment for Work Carried Out

Selah Haus Studios charges for professional time, creative expertise, design development and agreed deliverables.

Once work has commenced, you remain responsible for payment for work that has been completed or materially undertaken in accordance with the agreed project scope, subject always to your statutory rights.

This may include:

  • Consultations

  • Research and concept development

  • Moodboards

  • Space planning

  • Design development

  • Furniture and product sourcing

  • 3D modelling

  • 3D visualisation and rendering

  • Styling concepts

  • Presentation documents

  • Revisions included within the agreed scope

  • Additional work requested or approved by you

A client cannot refuse payment simply because they subsequently decide not to proceed with the project, change their mind about the design direction, or no longer require the service, where Selah Haus Studios has already carried out work for which payment is due.

6. Deposits and Initial Payments

Where an initial payment or deposit is required, this secures your project and allows Selah Haus Studios to allocate time and resources to your project.

The amount and purpose of any deposit will be clearly stated in your proposal or project agreement.

Where a consumer has a legal right to cancel, any deposit or advance payment will be dealt with in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Where work has commenced at the client's express request, the client may be required to pay for services properly performed up to the point of cancellation, where permitted by law.

7. Cancellation After Work Has Commenced

If you decide to cancel a project after Selah Haus Studios has begun work, cancellation does not automatically cancel your responsibility to pay for work already completed.

We will calculate any amount due based on the work carried out, deliverables produced, time reasonably committed to the project and any non-recoverable costs incurred, subject to applicable law.

Where an amount has been paid in advance and exceeds the amount properly due for work completed and legitimate costs incurred, the appropriate balance will be refunded where applicable.

Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory cancellation or refund rights you may have.

8. Refunds

Refunds are not automatically available simply because a client:

  • Changes their mind

  • No longer requires the service

  • Decides not to implement the design

  • Changes their aesthetic preferences after approving a design direction

  • Decides not to purchase recommended products

  • No longer wishes to proceed after work has already commenced

Where work has already been carried out, any refund will take into account the work completed and legitimate costs incurred, subject to applicable consumer law.

Where a refund is legally required, it will be processed in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory right to a refund, cancellation or other remedy.

9. Final Deliverables and Outstanding Balances

Where a project is subject to staged payments, Selah Haus Studios may require payment of the relevant stage before releasing the corresponding final deliverables.

This may include:

  • Final 3D renders

  • Final design boards

  • Sourcing schedules

  • Final presentation documents

  • Downloadable files

  • Final design specifications

We will not intentionally withhold work that has already been paid for.

However, where payment for a completed stage remains outstanding, we may suspend further work and/or withhold the release of unpaid deliverables until the outstanding balance has been paid, where legally permitted.

10. Overdue Payments

Invoices must be paid by the payment date stated on the invoice.

If payment is not received by the due date, Selah Haus Studios may:

  • Send a payment reminder

  • Suspend work on the project

  • Suspend access to unpaid deliverables or services, where legally permitted

  • Reschedule the project

  • Charge interest where permitted by law and/or the applicable contract

  • Recover reasonable costs associated with pursuing an overdue debt

  • Take further steps to recover the outstanding amount where necessary

Where no payment date has been agreed, applicable statutory payment terms may apply.

11. Continued Non-Payment

If an invoice remains unpaid after reasonable reminders, Selah Haus Studios reserves the right to formally pursue the outstanding balance.

This may include referring the debt for collection or commencing appropriate legal proceedings.

Any reasonable costs that Selah Haus Studios is legally entitled to recover in connection with the collection of an unpaid debt may be added to the amount outstanding.

Termination of a project does not remove liability for amounts that became due before termination.

12. Payment Disputes

If you believe an invoice is incorrect, you must contact Selah Haus Studios promptly and explain the reason for the dispute.

You should not simply refuse to pay an invoice without communicating the issue.

Where only part of an invoice is genuinely disputed, the undisputed portion remains payable by the original due date unless otherwise agreed.

We will make reasonable efforts to resolve genuine payment disputes promptly.

13. Chargebacks and Payment Reversals

If you initiate a chargeback, payment reversal or similar process in relation to a legitimate payment for services already provided, we ask that you contact Selah Haus Studios first so that we have an opportunity to resolve the matter.

Where a payment is reversed despite the service having been supplied or work having been completed, Selah Haus Studios reserves the right to pursue the outstanding contractual balance through appropriate channels.

This does not affect your statutory rights or your right to raise a genuine dispute with your payment provider.

14. Changes to Your Project

We understand that projects can evolve.

Reasonable amendments included within your agreed scope will be handled according to the revision allowance stated in your proposal.

Requests that materially change the agreed scope, concept, number of spaces, deliverables or project requirements may be treated as additional work and may incur an additional fee.

We will communicate any material additional costs before carrying out the additional work.

15. Design Approval and Revisions

Where Selah Haus Studios provides concepts, moodboards, layouts, product selections or other design proposals for client approval, the client is responsible for reviewing the information provided and communicating any concerns within the agreed review period.

Once a design stage has been approved, subsequent changes requested by the client may constitute additional work and may incur additional fees.

A client may not withhold payment for work that was completed in accordance with an approved brief solely because they subsequently change their mind about their original design preferences.

The number of revisions included within a service will be stated in the relevant proposal.

Additional revisions beyond the agreed allowance may be charged separately.

Repeated revisions caused by a change in the client's original brief, aesthetic direction or requirements may also be treated as additional work.

No additional work will be charged without communicating the additional fee to the client before proceeding.

16. Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and timely information reasonably required for your project.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate measurements and project information

  • Providing access to the property where required

  • Providing feedback and approvals within agreed timescales

  • Making payments when due

  • Obtaining any required permissions or approvals

  • Checking final product specifications before purchase

  • Obtaining specialist advice where required

Delays caused by missing information, late feedback, unavailable access or delayed approvals may affect the agreed project timeline.

17. Measurements and Property Information

Where we are not physically measuring a property, any dimensions, floor plans, photographs or other property information supplied by the client must be accurate and current.

We are not responsible for design issues arising from inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information supplied to us.

Where appropriate, clients should obtain professional measurements, surveys or technical advice.

18. Project Timelines

Estimated project timelines will be discussed with you before work begins.

We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed deadlines, but some elements of a project may depend on client feedback, third-party suppliers, contractors, product availability or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where a specific deadline is critical, this should be communicated to us before the project is confirmed.

Where a project is delayed because the client has not provided information, feedback, approvals or payment when required, Selah Haus Studios may adjust the project timeline accordingly.

If a project is placed on hold for an extended period due to client inactivity, we may require a revised start date and/or additional fees to restart the project where additional work or administrative time is required.

19. Termination for Non-Payment

Selah Haus Studios may suspend or terminate a project where the client materially breaches the agreed payment terms and fails to remedy the breach within a reasonable period after being notified.

Where a project is terminated because of the client's non-payment:

  • All amounts already due for work completed remain payable.

  • Any outstanding invoices may become immediately due where permitted by the project agreement.

  • Further work will cease.

  • Unpaid final deliverables may remain unreleased where legally permitted.

  • The client remains responsible for any legally recoverable costs arising from the breach.

Termination does not remove liability for amounts that became due before termination.

20. Intellectual Property

All original creative work produced by Selah Haus Studios remains our intellectual property unless ownership is expressly transferred to you in writing.

This may include:

  • Design concepts

  • Moodboards

  • 3D renders

  • Drawings and layouts

  • Presentation documents

  • Written content

  • Templates

  • Course materials

  • Digital resources

  • Photography and graphics created by or for Selah Haus Studios

  • Branding and other original creative materials

You may use the final agreed deliverables for the purpose for which they were commissioned, subject to the terms of your individual project agreement.

You may not reproduce, resell, distribute, modify for commercial resale, or use our work to create competing products or services without our written permission.

Third-party intellectual property remains the property of its respective owner.

Outstanding Payments and Intellectual Property

Until the relevant agreed fees have been paid in full, Selah Haus Studios retains all rights in unpaid design work and deliverables, subject to applicable law.

The client must not reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, commercially exploit or otherwise use unpaid design work without written permission.

Once the agreed fees have been paid in full, the client receives the usage rights specified in their project agreement.

21. Product Sourcing and Third-Party Suppliers

Where sourcing or product recommendations form part of your service, we may provide links, product details, supplier information or purchasing recommendations.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Selah Haus Studios is not the manufacturer, retailer or supplier of those products.

We cannot guarantee the availability, pricing, delivery times or continued production of third-party products.

Where you purchase directly from a third-party supplier, your contract for that purchase is with the supplier and will be subject to their own terms and conditions.

We recommend that clients check measurements, specifications, suitability and product information before placing orders.

22. Contractors and Specialist Advice

Selah Haus Studios provides creative design services and does not generally act as a building contractor, structural engineer, architect, quantity surveyor, electrician, plumber or other regulated or specialist contractor unless expressly agreed in writing.

Our designs should not be treated as structural, architectural, engineering, electrical, plumbing, fire-safety or other specialist certification.

Where specialist approval, calculations, building regulations compliance, planning permission or other professional advice is required, it is the client's responsibility to obtain this from the appropriate qualified professional.

23. Digital Products and Online Courses

Digital products and online courses are provided for the purchaser's personal use unless otherwise stated.

You must not:

  • Copy or reproduce course materials for commercial purposes

  • Share your account or login details

  • Redistribute, resell or publicly upload course materials

  • Present Selah Haus Studios' educational materials as your own

  • Repackage or reproduce our templates, guides, videos, written materials or other resources for resale

We may use third-party platforms to host or deliver digital products and courses.

Access arrangements, course duration and any specific product terms will be communicated at the point of purchase.

24. Digital Content and Refunds

Where you purchase digital content, your statutory rights will apply.

Where applicable, you may have a statutory cancellation period for online purchases.

If you request immediate access to digital content during that period, we may ask you to expressly acknowledge that you will lose the statutory right to cancel once the digital content begins to be supplied, where the law permits this.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

25. Portfolio and Marketing Use

We may wish to showcase completed projects as part of the Selah Haus Studios portfolio, website, social media, marketing materials or other promotional channels.

Where appropriate, we will discuss this with you and obtain any consent required, particularly where identifiable personal information, private property details or other sensitive material is involved.

If you have specific confidentiality requirements, please discuss these with us before your project begins so that they can be included in your project agreement.

26. Photography and Project Imagery

Where photographs, videos or other imagery are supplied by you, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permissions for us to use those materials for the purposes agreed with you.

Where imagery is created by Selah Haus Studios, the relevant intellectual property rights remain with us unless otherwise agreed in writing.

27. Website Use

The content on the Selah Haus Studios website is provided for general information and inspiration.

While we make reasonable efforts to keep website content accurate and current, we do not guarantee that all information will always be complete, accurate or error-free.

We may update, change or remove website content from time to time.

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or introduce malicious software or harmful material.

28. Third-Party Websites and Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, suppliers, retailers, platforms or resources.

These links are provided for convenience or reference.

Selah Haus Studios does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or terms.

Your use of third-party websites is subject to their own terms and policies.

29. Confidentiality

We will treat information provided to us about your project with reasonable confidentiality.

Where you require specific confidentiality arrangements, non-disclosure obligations or restrictions on portfolio use, these should be discussed before the project begins and confirmed in writing.

30. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to applicable law, Selah Haus Studios will not be responsible for losses arising from matters outside our reasonable control, including third-party supplier delays, product discontinuation, inaccurate information supplied by a client, or decisions made by a client or third-party contractor.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

31. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control.

This may include serious illness, natural disasters, significant technical failures, supplier disruption, strikes, government restrictions or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented.

Where such an event occurs, we will communicate with you and take reasonable steps to minimise its impact.

32. Complaints

We will review your concerns and aim to resolve them fairly and reasonably.

33. Privacy

We may update these website Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services, technology or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this website with the date shown at the top.

35. Individual Project Agreements

These Terms are intended to operate alongside your individual Selah Haus Studios proposal, quotation, invoice and/or project agreement.

Where the individual project agreement contains specific terms relating to the project's scope, payment schedule, revisions, cancellation or deliverables, those terms will apply to that project to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you will also retain any mandatory rights and protections available to you under the laws that apply to your circumstances.
